Publication Abstract: | Background detector rates in the Electron Ion Collider depend in part on the pressure in the interaction region. Materials choice, synchrotron radiation induced desorption, conditioning time and pumping configuration all affect the pressure in the system. Simulations of the region using Synrad and Molflow+ coupled simulation codes will be presented for various configruations and conditioning times. |
